Last Thursday, Blair Varsity field hockey (2-6-1) lost 0-1 in a heartbreaker to the Northwest Jaguars (5-6). The Blazers went head-to-head for the entire 60 minute regulation, but the Jaguars were able to make the decisive shot in sudden-death overtime.
Blair Varsity field hockey (2-5-1) successfully held the notorious Wootton Patriots (10-1) Thursday night, though loosing 0-3. Wootton, known for their aggressive and impressive play, did what they always do in the rout. Blair however, played an incredible game but just couldn't keep pace.
Blair Varsity field hockey (2-4-1) was overcome by the Walt Whitman Vikings (5-2) Tuesday night, losing by a score of 0-3. The Blazers had an incredible first half, but lost speed in the second half. The team struggled to move the ball up the field, and Whitman's offense took advantage in the second half.
Blair Varsity field hockey (2-2-1) fell to the Churchill Bulldogs on Friday night by a score of 0-2. Blair's defense dominated in the first half, but the team's struggle for possession in the second half led to extensive pressure on the defense, and ultimately led to the two Churchill goals.
The Montgomery Blair Blazers (1-1-1) varsity field hockey team lost a tough game to the B-CC Barons (2-0) by the score of 2-0 despite playing solid defense for most of the game.
Blair varsity field hockey (4-5) dominated the Kennedy Cavaliers Monday night, winning 7-0. The game was a perfect way to close the season as the Blazers advance towards playoffs. Following the game, the Blazers congratulated their seniors amid their final game at Blair's stadium.

Blair varsity field hockey (4-8) conquered the Albert Einstein Titans (2-7) on Thursday night, winning 7-0. This game was a fulfilling victory for the seniors because it was the last regular season game that they would play at home.
Walter Johnson (2-0) attacked the Blair field hockey team (1-2) relentlessly Tuesday night, winning 5-0 in a lopsided first home game for Blair. Despite Blair's best efforts, a strong defense was not enough to hold off an very good Wildcat midfield line.
With the fall sports season coming into swing Blazers are looking to make this season a memorable one. Members of each team selected three athletes to look out for this season. Here is what they came up with:
On Halloween, the Blair Blazers (9-5) lost 4-0 to the Blake Bengals (11-3) in the semifinals of the playoffs. The game was hard fought, but the Blazers couldn't keep up with the perennial powerhouse Bengals.
The Blair Blazers (9-4) made it past the second round of the playoffs after defeating the Magruder Colonels (0-12) 4-0. Junior Leila Bartholet got the scoring started midway through the first half.
