Montgomery Blair High School students walked out of school to participate in #NationalWalkoutDay, joining students from across Montgomery County. The walkout culminated in 17 minutes of silence in front of the White House, after which they marched to the Capitol to listen to several speakers.

Students from all across D.C. and Maryland participated in the "Enough is Enough: Students for gun control legislation" protest organized by Richard Montgomery High School student Daniel Gelillo today in Washington, D.C. to protest gun violence. This protest comes in the wake of the school shooting in Parkland, Florida last Wednesday that left 17 dead.

On Feb. 26, the Blair Cluster's "School Safety and Sensible Gun Policies" resolution was presented to the Montgomery County Council of Parent Teacher Associations (MCCPTA).
