This year, Blair Senior Michael Winer won first prize in the Innovation category at the Intel Talent Search Finals. He won $150,000 in prize money for his project about the interaction between phonons and electrons in a crystal.

Blazer advances in national science competition

Blair senior and magnet student Michael Winer was one of forty finalists chosen on January 21 out of over 1,800 students to be recognized by the Society for Science and the Public in the Intel Science Talent Search.


Blair science team to compete in National Science Bowl

The Blair science team won the Maryland High School Science Bowl for the second year in a row last month. They will move on to represent Maryland at the 25th annual National Science Bowl held from April 30 to May 4 in Washington D.C.
