The girls' varsity tennis team was able to shake off the rust of not playing for a week and beat the Damascus Swarmin' Hornets, taking five of seven matches to get back over the .500 mark at 2-1.

The Blair girls tennis team lost their home opener to the Bethesda Chevy Chase Barons, dropping five of the seven total matches. The loss was the Blazers' first of the season, dropping them to 1-1, while the Barons remained undefeated and currently sit at 2-0.

The girls' tennis team lost, 2-5, against the Sherwood Warriors in a key match of the season. While the doubles teams showed improvements over previous matches, crucial mistakes kept the singles players from a victory.

Blair's girls' tennis team (3-3) beat the Blake Bengals (4-1) by a score of 7-0 on Saturday morning. Second singles player, senior Allison Whitney was the first player to finish her game.
