The Montgomery Blair Blazers (5-4) earned a huge win against the Magruder Colonels (4-7) at home on Wednesday night. The Blazers played well from the start, putting pressure on the Magruder defense and capitalizing on turnovers. Magruder kept the game close and competitive in the first half, but Blair's offense was relentless in the second half, winning countless faceoffs, dominating possession and getting shots at every opportunity to win an important game.


Boys' lacrosse falls to Wootton

On an overcast Saturday afternoon, the boys' lacrosse team (5-4) took on the Blake Bengals at home. The Blazers fought hard, staying with the Bengals for the entire first half. However, final score was 10-4 in favor of the Bengals.

In their sixth game of the season, the Blair boys' lacrosse team (3-3) dominated Paint Branch (2-4), taking and holding on to an early lead for a final score of 15-5. The young Blair team has continued to refine their communication and offensive skills, playing a strong all-around game that served as a sign for a good finish to the season.

The boys' varsity lacrosse team (3-2) beat the Blake Bengals by a score of 8-4 in their fifth game of the season. Despite some setbacks in focus, the Blazers were able to power their way through Blake's scrappy defense and hold off their offense in the third and fourth quarters.

As the rain fell in sheets Friday night, the boys' lacrosse team seized the opportunity to avenge last season's stinging 2-0 playoff loss to the Springbrook Blue Devils, Blair's traditional rivals. After an initial deficit the Blazers dominated, blowing past Springbrook in a 9-4 win.
