Blair wrestler qualifies for States

Varsity wrestling placed 19th out of 22 schools at the regional tournament held at Poolesville last weekend. Senior co-captain Chris Wells (132) is the only wrestler set to continue to the state tournament, which will take place next weekend at the University of Maryland.

The varsity wrestling team finished 12th out of 25 in this weekend's county tournament held at Blair. Many of the wrestlers will be continuing on to the regional tournament which will be held this weekend.

Washington, D.C. youth development organization City at Peace closed last month as a result of long-term financial difficulties. The organization was forced to cut short what would have been its seventeenth year.
