Elana Eisen-Markowitz was born in Washington, DC and lived there until her obese younger brother was born and the family was forced to move into a larger house in Takoma Park, MD. Elana then enrolled in the Spanish immersion program at Rolling Terrace Elementary School where she was provided with an excellent education until 4th grade, at which point she went to Charles Drew Elementary School for 4th and 5th grade. Surviving this plus three years at Takoma Park Middle School, Elana ended up in the CAP program at MBHS. She is a senior this year and in addition to being a features editor for Silver Chips, she plays soccer, lacrosse, is a member of several of Blair's many clubs/organizations and tries to find a little time for school.
