Henry Loeb is a teen who would like nothing better than to play X-box all day long. He is a little obsessed when it comes to Halo 2 and Fable but he doesn't let that get in the way of his writing abilities. In the rare moments that Henry is alone he likes to play piano or go out to Woodland Horse Center and ride his horse. Even though this is only his first year on SCO Henry hopes to achieve a great deal and maintain the prestige of SCO.

Update: SGA parliamentarian removed from office

After two and a half weeks, the SGA announced that their parliamentarian, Jacob Asbell, had been removed from office by Blair administration. Asbell was removed by Principal Phillip Gainous after an incident on Sept. 20 when he made an "illicit gesture" during a freshman class assembly.

"Family Guy" starts out season five with Lois asking Peter if he could please go to the PTA meeting in her place. When Peter asks her, "What are you high?" she replies, "I was a few hours ago but I binged it off. By the way, we are out of popcorn, chips and chocolate."

"Othello" sheds new light on Iago

The Shakespeare Theatre Company's production of the tragedy "Othello," running from August 30 to October 30, stars the charismatic Avery Brooks in the title role as the manipulated and magnificent Moor and Patrick Page as Othello's brilliantly sinister aide. Making a facile transition from his television work in "Spenser for Hire" and "A Man Called Hawk," Brooks's resonant delivery fills the space and commands the audience's rapt attention. The rest of the cast gives commendable and comparable performances.

"Hairspray": The big fat musical hit from Broadway

"Hairspray" first burst on the entertainment scene in the form of John Waters' 1988 film celebrating large people, drag humor and desegregation. For the past three years, the show has been a hit on Broadway and in Baltimore. In July, a touring company brought the lively musical to the Kennedy Center Opera House for a six-week run.

SSL Hours: Mission Alteration?

According to the Montgomery County Public Schools website, effective July 1, Student Service Learning hours will no longer be awarded to students participating with for-profit licensed childcare centers or for-profit camps. The only SSL hours accepted must be performed with non-profit organizations. This counter-productive measure is sure to have an impact on volunteerism in the community.
