Blair's second half push not enough as Trojans win, 54-45
Blair lost its fifth straight on Friday, Jan. 14, falling at home to Gaithersburg 54-45. With the loss, the Blazers dropped to 3-9 on the season.
Gaithersburg guard Mathias Doe added the exclamation point to his team's dominant start with a half-court heave at the halftime buzzer. After the break, Blair began to eat away at the Gaithersburg lead - but it was too little too late, and the Trojans held on and improved to 5-5.
Trojan forward Davon Johnson led all scorers with 12 points. Blair guards Charles Ruffin and Justin Shack finished with 8 and 7, respectively. Blair's leading scorer, Delonte Gaskin (13 ppg), was benched for disciplinary reasons.
Check out game highlights above, including Doe's half-court shot, a pretty pass from Charles Ruffin to Koite at 2:20, and post-game chatter with Blair guard Rick Narcisse.
