Police report filed, nothing recovered

A student's car was broken into and burglarized on Friday, March 11, sometime between 7:15 p.m. and 11:15 p.m. A police report was filed Saturday, March 12; no items have been recovered as of yet.

According to senior Tanupreet Suri, she and senior Max Czapanskiy drove to Blair and parked on the Colesville side to watch the school musical. When they returned to the car, they found the doors unlocked, the windows scratched and their belongings stolen. Czapanskiy's full CD binder and Suri's bag with her wallet inside were both stolen from the car.

According to Suri, a credit card in her wallet was used to buy $90 worth of chicken, liquor and gas on Friday night. Although she canceled her account as soon as she found her card to be stolen, there was a lag time for processing. Suri's credit card company will refund the money to her.

The situation has left the students and their parents upset. "I want to know who they are – I'm really angry," explained Suri.

"It's just a mess. The police pretty much told us not to expect anything back," added Czapanskiy's father and the car's owner, Dana Czapanskiy.
