2002 Men's Basketball Championship


Silver Chips received many entries in its annual NCAA Tournament Pool and is pleased to announce Felipe Diaz as the winner with a total of 138 points.

Silver Chips awarded one point for each correct pick in the first round, two for each correct pick in the second, four in the third, eight for each of the Final Four, 16 for each championship team and 32 for correctly picking the winner, the University of Maryland.

Hardest games to predict in the first round: Wyoming over Gonzaga, Southern Illinois over Texas Tech.

Hardest games to predict in the second round: Kent State over Alabama and UCLA over Cincinnati.

Hardest team in the Final Four to predict: Indiana. The vast majority of entries had Duke, which Indiana beat to advance to the Elite Eight, in the Final Four and many even had Duke as the national champion.
