On Friday, Oct. 12, empowerment comedian Ernie G. spoke to a packed auditorium at Blair during third period in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month. He entertained and inspired students with his energetic personality and relatable anecdotes.

As an empowerment comedian, Ernie G. used humor to discuss important and sensitive topics, such as destigmatizing mental health and defying Latino and Hispanic stereotypes. He also discussed surpassing other people's expectations and believing in oneself. "Half of me is a clown, up here telling jokes. Half of me is a profound person who wants each and every one of your souls to be touched, moved and inspired," he said.
