Blair coeds lose in three straight sets

The Blair coed volleyball team lost to Poolesville High School in the first three sets; 25-16, 25-16, 25-22.

The win for Poolesville keeps them undefeated on the season, and they showed why when they stepped onto Blair's court. They displayed great communication and movement. Senior Lauren Wong, who played an impressive game for being sick, found it hard to find open spots in their defense.

"They were really consistent," Wong said after the short match. "They were always able to cover the holes."

Senior Jason Gordon played a brilliant match as he kept the ball alive with smart hits. He showed a keen sense of where to hit the ball so that a return was impossible.

Senior Amanda Hsiung played another great game, but the Blazers were hurt by the absence of several key players. Starting junior Brad Gee was sick and Will Lin also could not play.
