Two other students recovering from serious condition

After a dispute on a Montgomery County Ride On bus last night, freshman Tai Lam, 14, was shot and killed, WTOP News reported this morning. Two other students are currently in serious condition at Georgetown University MedStar Hospital. At least one of those students also attends Blair.

The three students, all underclass males, were on the bus around 11 p.m. and got into an argument with another group of three to five young people. As the other group exited the bus at Piney Branch Road and Arliss Street, one of them turned and fired several shots into the bus, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD). All three boys received gunshot wounds and were transported to a local trauma center, the MCPD confirmed. As of this morning, the MCPD had not released the boys' identities.

Silver Chips Online is still compiling information, and a more complete story will be posted soon.
