Despite mounting a two score comeback in the third quarter, the deficit faced by the Montgomery Blair Blazers was too steep in a 48-17 loss in the first round of the playoffs to the Quince Orchard (QO) Cougars on a windy Friday night.
Coming into the game 4-0, the Blazers (4-1) had yet to be legitimately challenged. Quince Orchard (3-2) gave Blair all they could handle, en route to a dominating 64-43 victory over the Blazers.
The girls' varsity volleyball team fell to the Quince Orchard Cougars in a close game on Thursday, ending their run in the playoffs this year. The game extended into five sets, with scores of 21-25, 25-23, 25-17, 23-25 and 13-15.
