The girls' varsity softball team (1-1) suffered its first loss in its second game of the season against the Northwest Jaguars (2-0).
The varsity handball program in Montgomery County is probably one of the most welcoming sports programs in the county, since it is both co-ed and intramural. Blair's handball team is also one of the most successful teams in the school, with an outstanding record for all three years of its existence.

With senior co-captain and pitcher Samantha Schweickhardt dominating the mound, Blair clinched the win thanks to consistent hitting and clever base running. While the Jaguars slammed a couple impressive hits into the outfield, Blair's cohesive fielding and communication helped grab a fourth straight win of their near-perfect season.
Both teams entered the dugouts undefeated, but it was Blair that would emerge with a tarnished record, losing to Sherwood in a final score of 8-3.
