In their sixth game of the season, the Blair boys' lacrosse team (3-3) dominated Paint Branch (2-4), taking and holding on to an early lead for a final score of 15-5. The young Blair team has continued to refine their communication and offensive skills, playing a strong all-around game that served as a sign for a good finish to the season.

The Blazers (15-8) brought fire and intensity in their 2013 playoff debut against the Gaithersburg Trojans (6-17). Thus, it came as no surprise when senior captain Justin Kung dove headfirst into the scorers' table late in the fourth quarter to save a loose ball.

With 3:36 left in the first half, the moment he had been waiting for finally arrived. A Wheaton guard controlled the ball near the top of the key and then tried to swing it to his teammate in the paint. The pass was intercepted by Blair senior forward Julian Smith-Jones who took it the length of the court for a slam-dunk.

With 12.6 seconds left in the game, the Blazers (12-8) found themselves up by one against the visiting Vikings (11-9), well on their way to win number 13 on the season. Junior co-captain Damar Bess was at the free throw line, and Bess had already scored 10 points in the decisive fourth quarter.

The Blair boys' varsity basketball team (5-2) beat the Springbrook Blue Devils (5-2) for the first time in a decade, 40-39, as senior guard Trey Wainwright sank two free throws with 3.1 seconds left in the game.
