Senior night ended in disappointment for Blair as the Jaguars displayed their dominance
The Blair boys' basketball team (13-9) beat the Richard Montgomery Rockets (18-4) in stunning fashion to advance to the next round of the playoffs. The Blazers had a strong showing in the second half to beat the top seeded Rockets. Although Blair got off to a slow start, crucial big-man play from twins Julius and Jordan Cobb contributed to Blair's late success.
The Boys' and Girls' basketball teams seasons are coming to an end with the playoffs in clear view. With records of (9-10) and (7-13) the Blazers are trying to bring their best to the biggest games of the season.
Coming home off two close losses, the Blair boys' basketball team (8-6) stepped up the energy and disposed of the Paint Branch Panthers (5-8) 69-59.
The boys' basketball team (2-3) suffered a hard fought loss to the Bethesda Chevy Chase Barons losing by a score was 54-56, with the Barons pulling away with the lead from the game's start.
The Blazers (6-3) entered Wednesday night with a ton of momentum following a tournament win in New Jersey. However, they were stopped dead in their tracks by the Richard Montgomery Rockets (10-0). The Rockets seized the energy in the first quarter and cruised to a 40-24 win in the second half.
Coming off a road loss earlier in the week, the Blazers (2-1) knew they couldn't underestimate the Wheaton Knights (1-2). While the Knights hung around for the first three quarters of the game, the Blazers were able to eventually pull away and win comfortably 59-42.
The boys' basketball team turned up the heat and demolished the Einstein Titans by a score of 70-35, on senior night. Once again, senior guards Trey Wainwright and Damar Bess led the charge with 12 points and 18 points respectively.

Senior guard Damar Bess poured in 25 points on his special day, most of them coming in a critical third quarter comeback, as the boys' basketball team pulled out a 61-56 win over the visiting Whitman Vikings.

After playing with effort and energy in the Northwest game, the Blazers looked as if they could turn the season around and end the season well as they headed into the playoffs.
Amid a rough losing season, the Blazers (1-13) took the court against the Springbrook Blue Devils (14-1) who are the two-time defending state champions. Coming off tough losses to Paint Branch and Boulevard rival Northwood, the Blazers hoped to remedy their poor play with new rotations, different defenses and a stronger focus on rebounding.
In a "Battle of the Boulevard" rivalry game against Northwood High School (5 - 6), the Blazers (1 - 12) fell to the Gladiators by a single point.
