The following letter is from Blair faculty member George Vlasits. The letter addresses the Building Services Appreciation day. It reads as follows:
Steven Seagal's latest action flick, Half Past Dead, isn't half bad. It's all bad.
In 1994, Tim Allen starred as Jolly Ol' St. Nick in the original Disney blockbuster hit The Santa Clause. The movie followed Scott Calvin (Allen), a divorced, workaholic toy company marketing whiz who unexpectedly had the title of Santa Claus thrust upon him. The movie appealed to children and adults alike with its comedic sequences, natural charm, and natural magic.
For years, action superstar Jackie Chan has marveled audiences with his athleticism, agility, and boyish charm, bringing such box-office hits as Rush Hour, and Shanghai Noon. The Tuxedo, Chan's latest flick, is an obvious attempt to capitalize on the success of these blockbuster films, which feature Chan paired with an American star. This movie fails miserably, however, and the result is an overly childish, poorly produced film that falls apart at the seams.
Diva Dancers and Step Team will not be permitted to perform at the fall pep rally, according to SGA President Sara Furlow. The decision comes as part of Principal Philip Gainous's effort to limit Pep Rally performances to Blair athletic teams.
Info Flow, Blair Networks Communication's (BNC) daily morning announcement program, has stopped airing copyrighted material, according to supervisor Christopher Lloyd. Instead, Info Flow has asked music classes and local bands to submit recordings of their music to be used on the program.
The business office, which has completed processing Senior Locker Share Forms is requesting that seniors report to the concession stand during lunch for their locker assignments.
