"Black. White." is a new reality show that pushes buttons because it deals with a topic that not many people want to discuss: racism. It is not only controversial because it searches for racism in America but because it questions society's definition of race. The show poses the questions: What makes you black? What makes you white?

Coretta Scott King, who for three decades stood in the place of her assassinated husband Martin Luther King, Jr. as a voice of racial justice, passed away Monday night, her family announced Tuesday.

Blair's annual fall Choral Coffeehouse took place this past Friday night in the SAC. The coffeehouse, sponsored by Blair's choral program, had a variety of musical acts, a dance performance and a fashion show all orchestrated by Blair students.

Found in the westernmost region of Africa and surrounded by four countries to the north, east and south and the Atlantic Ocean to the west, Senegal is one of the most individual countries on the continent. Its geography and location gives it flat rolling plains, a semiarid Sahel region in the north, plateaus over 1,600 feet high, wetlands and forests in the south. What makes it even more uncommon is the fact that The Gambia is an enclave inside Senegal.

The PTSA Minigrant Committee has announced that the deadline for all 2005 minigrant proposals is Nov. 4. The minigrants are meant to support projects initiated by Blair staff, students, parents and community members.

Tyra Banks has had four seasons to discover, groom and prepare America's Next Top Model, and while she has had some success in the past, one thing is for sure: her fifth try is just not good enough. The fifth season's premiere of America's Next Top Model was mediocre at best. The cast is completely dead and the judge panel was lacking personality and, surprisingly, Janice Dickinson.
