Silverlogue will be available to seniors tomorrow

The yearbook for the 2005-2006 school year will be distributed to seniors tomorrow.

Seniors who have preordered the yearbook package will be dismissed from their fourth period classes to pick up their books in the auditorium. Underclassmen and juniors can begin to retrieve their yearbooks on Thursday, May 18, during 5A and 5B lunch, as well as after school, from the concession stand across the main office.

Volume 77 of Silverlogue will be in full color and has the theme "Recollection." The cover this year is a collection of pictures of objects taken from around the school in their actual size. "This year's yearbook focused a lot on photo techniques on the covers and pages," Editor-in-Chief Julie Spatz said. The yearbook has a new look with its photo manipulations, photo-filled pages that separate sections and the large spelling of "seniors" using the photos of people, according to Spatz.

Special features include an extended senior section with bigger pictures, the traditional senior panoramic insert and quarter spreads on topics relevant to Blazers. Also included in this year's volume is a quarterspread with plays on the year 2006, identifying numbers from surroundings that correspond with the number 2006.

Yearbook staff will be distributing yearbooks at the concession stand through the remainder of this week and until Wednesday of next week during both lunches and after school. Students may buy yearbooks by bringing $60 to the concession stand.

Spatz said, "I feel like everyone worked really hard and it turned out well. So go buy a yearbook before they run out."
