DEC 17, MONTGOMERY BLAIR HIGH SCHOOL-

The girls' basketball team begins the season 0-3 following a 55-39 loss to the Walter Johnson Wildcats at home on Tuesday, December 17. Blair fell behind 11-0 and then 20-4 at the start of the game, and could never recover as Walter Johnson moves to 4-1.

The Wildcats dominated in almost all aspects of the game, from rebounding to fast break points to field goal percentage. The Blazers' threw up brick after brick, and they failed to box out on the boards or be aggressive on defense.

One of the few positive aspects of the game was junior Emily Ramsay, who started at center and led the team with 15 points and eight rebounds. Guards Jennifer Sindall, Kidesh Brown and McKenzie Robinson added five points each as senior guard Colby Chapman led the team with four assists.

Senior center Allyson Swailes, who dominated with 24 points and 13 rebounds against Springbrook on December 13, was held to only two points and one rebound in limited action against Walter Johnson. The Blazers still lack a leader or a go-to-"guy," as different players have shined in each game.

The Blazers' next game is at home against Quince Orchard on Thursday, December 19 at 7:00.
