This Saturday, Walt Whitman High School will hold a conference on student journalism in honor of the 40th anniversary of Whitman's newspaper, the Black and White.
Journalists to speak at the conference include nationally syndicated columnist Clarence Page, who was the first African American to win a Pulitzer Prize in commentary, and former Black and White editor Rick Berke, who now reports for the New York Times.
The conference will take place from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
