Volunteers needed for annual SILVERDOCS film festival

Applications now available for June event


Volunteer applications are now available for SILVERDOCS, the American Film Institute's annual film festival. The festival will take place at AFI's Silver Theater from June 12 to June 17.

Students can volunteer in a variety of areas, including audio/visual tech support, press, film editing, special events, marketing merchandise sales, ticketing and registration.

Preproduction for the event is currently taking place and will continue until May 20, so interested students can begin immediately.

Student volunteers will have the opportunity to work with industry professionals while earning student service learning hours. . In addition, for each eight hours volunteered, students will earn one movie voucher for a free screening of their choice. Volunteers who serve over 48 hours will be eligible for a full Festival pass.
