Activity Fair scheduled for November 18

All Blair clubs and organizations recognized by the SGA will have the opportunity to promote themselves during the annual Activity Fair scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday, November 18.

During 5A and 5B lunch, clubs will set up tables along Blair Boulevard to provide students with information about what the club involves and why they should join. The following clubs and organizations are scheduled to participate in the event: Amnesty International, Step Team, Key Club, Japanese Club, Chess Club, BLISS, Silverquill, French Club, Marching Band, Spirit Club, Forensics Club, BNC, Ethiopian Club, Diversity Workshop, SGR, Stage Crew, It's Academic and the ACLU. According to Brian Koss, first Vice President for the SGA, the purpose of the Fair is to find an extracurricular activity that helps a student pursue his or her interests and at the same time, to "become a part of the student body."

Assistant Principal Linda Wanner said students should become involved in clubs in preparation for their future. "Colleges are looking for well-rounded students, and research shows that students who are connected to their schools for more than academics, prove to be happier and to do better in school classes."
