With the season over, many of Blair's athletes are being recognized for their achievements. Highlights of Blair's 2003 spring sports season include Boys' Tennis' division II championship, which will move them to Division I next year, and Girls' Softball's regular-season 3A/4A East title. Congratulations to all.

Boys' Baseball
The baseball team (7-10) lost in the first round of the playoffs 1-12 to Damascus. Pre-season all-state selection senior shortstop Josh Richardson received All-County First Team honors from the Journal and the Gazette and Second Team All-Met honors from the Washington Post. Richardson and catcher Max Eckert were also chosen to play in the Montgomery County Coahces Senior All-Star Game.
Boys' Lacrosse
The 6-8 boys' lacrosse team lost in the playoffs to Quince Orchard, 5-15. Senior co-captain Ben Field-Pickering was selected to the All-Division Second Team, and was joined by fellow senior Nino Tran on the Senior All-Star Team.
Girls' Lacrosse
The girls' lacrosse team (5-6), Blair's only spring sports team with a playoff win (16-13 over Magruder in overtime), lost in the second round 9-11 to Damascus. Still, several members of the team were recognized for their play during the past season. MCPS Coaches' All-County First Team selection defenseman Brigid McCarthy and MCPS Coaches' All-County Second Team selection defenseman Kristina Cammen were chosen to play in the Montgomery County Senior All-Star Game. McCarthy and Cammen were joined by All-County Second Team selection junior attack Mairead Hunter, All-County Honorable Mention selection senior attack Robin Zhao, and All-County Honorable Mention selection junior midfielder Beth Gula on the All-Division Team.
Girls' Softball
After claiming the Division 3A/4A East title, the school's first, the softball team (9-4, 5-1 division) will graduate eight seniors. Senior outfielder Carly Vieira and senior catcher Lily Hamburger were named to the All-County First Team by both the Journal and the Gazette. Vieira was also selected Second Team All-Met by the Washington Post, and Hamburger was acknowledged ealier in the season in the Post as a Player of the Week. The two were also chosen to play in the Old Line All State All-Star Game, and were joined by pitcher Emma Simson and first baseman Sophie Strike as invitees to play in the Montgomery County Senior All-Star Game.
Boys' Tennis
Tennis finished the season 9-4 (6-1), enough to claim the Division II title. The boys' team will compete with powerhouses Wootton and Churchill next year in Division I. In this year's county tournament, junior Jason Liu lost in the finals, 6-4, 6-1, to Brian Cohen of Wootton, helping Blair to a 7th place finish. Liu (singles) was also awarded Honorable Mention awards along with doubles pair senior Ji-Heon Kim and junior Kevin Chai for the Journal's All-County Team.
Coed Volleyball
Coming off an excellent 10-2 record in the playoffs, the coed volleyball team lost in the first round in a close three-game match against Wootton. Junior setter Amanda Hsiung received Second Team All-County honors from the Journal, while senior middle hitter Phil Repicky and senior outside hitters and co-captains Jimmy Taing and Jeanne Yang received Honorable Mention All-County honors.
