Blazers can rock their way to a creepy Halloween
Halloween is coming up and Blazers are going to scourge stores for the craziest costumes and listen to even crazier Halloween music. Regardless of whether Blazers will spend October 31 trick-or-treating or giving out candy, Silver Chips Online provides the perfect soundtracks for endless Halloween fun. So throw on the masks, pick up that candy bowl and turn up the stereo to get in the perfect mood for the creepiest of holidays.
"Halloween" – The Misfits
This one is pretty obvious. Named for the holiday, "Halloween" is the perfect song to play as the days inch towards the end of October. Punk horror band The Misfits use strong bass and guitar tracks to strengthen the song. Glenn Danzig on vocals creates a surreal atmosphere of spooky melodies and since the band indicate that they "remember Halloween,” most Blazers should tune in to remember theirs just a little bit better.
"Miss Murder" – AFI
Released in 2006, "Miss Murder" became a hit instantaneously because of steady drumbeat and catchy tune; lead vocalist Davey Havok begins singing almost immediately and simultaneously allures listeners. The band won a MTV Video Music Award in 2006 and was ranked on Rolling Stones' "Best Songs of 2006" list in the top 15. No true Halloween fan can resist the catchy chorus "Hey Miss Murder...take my life” that stays true to a classic Halloween theme – death.
"Rose of the Devil's Garden" – Tiger Army
The title of this track describes a perfectly scary song that matches anyone's dream Halloween. Steady vocals of a monotone voice, a fierce drumbeat and intriguing lyrics are sure to fully satisfy any spooky listener. What Blazer wouldn't be shaking in their costume with lyrics "death is pure - life is not”?
"System" – Chester Bennington
This single released in 2002 by Chester Bennington of Linkin Park illustrates his solo talent and his love for the horrors of blood and death, which is of course perfect for any Halloween. Bennington was named #46 Heavy Metal's All-Time Top 100 Vocalists on the Hit Parader's list in 2007 and certainly demonstrates his range throughout his hit "System." Bennington goes from soft lyrical song to heavy metal banging with a transition that produces instantaneous goosebumps. The words continue to flow as the band picks up the beats and follows Bennington's vocals perfectly. Screaming "your blood in mine” is particularly perfect for any Halloween party full of Blazers dressed as Edward and Bella from Twilight.
"Wait and Bleed" – Slipknot
Slipknot is known for its attention-grabbing image of matching uniforms and unique masks. With the drop of every new album, the band transforms their look ever so moderately. The heavy metal band shows its true colors during "Wait and Bleed," going in between singing and demon-like shouting. This track puts the best spin on a demented holiday by combining switching back and forth throughout the song from heavy metal to alternative genres. Slipknot will not only entertain Blazers, but also give them new ideas for Halloween costumes!
"Pain" – Three Days Grace
The band's second single from their 2006 album is a catchy, loud, electric song that connects pain and love in the best possible way. Its harsh lyrics pull a listener in perfectly for incredible hang-banging action. Admit it, who doesn't secretly revel in the dramatic themes pain, torture and love on Halloween?
