As the weather gets colder, Blazers get more and more fashionable
It's that time of year again. Thanksgiving is over and winter is beginning to let us know that it's here to stay. However, the transition to winter doesn't just mean a change in weather; it also means a change in fashion. Being warm is a given, so it's all about looking fashionable with your favorite boots on and snow up to your ankles.
HeadOut:
Hats are perfect for winter weather, but while knit caps and cute berets are perfect for keeping your head toasty warm, floppy hats are not in. Leave your beach and sun hats at home, or even hidden in a closet (so that they don't taunt you), until next spring. Try something new, like a dark fedora, if you're set on covering your head with something chic.

Coats are obviously a must for winter fashion, but the best way to spice up any outfit (even just jeans and a tee) is with a faux fur jacket. These big coats not only keep you warm, but also give the appearance of a fashion friendly individual. Besides, what else goes so perfectly with your beat-up backpack?
Out:
Winter months are the perfect time to show your style with cute sweaters and jackets, but those trendy choices do not include logo t-shirts. Stay away from Ed Hardy, or any other brand that likes when its name abruptly explodes all over your chest. Winter is a time to be simple and beautiful, there's no need to go over the top.
Out:
Something no one wants to do is blend in with the elements (sorry camouflage lovers), so during winter, white pants are not the way to go. Not only do white pants remind most of us of snow, but they also tend to remind people of sailors. Nobody wants the downward spiral of high school students starting to think about summer. Stay away from the white pants until beach week.

Boots. Any type of boot will do. Short, tall, fury, leathery - everything goes when it comes to this winter fashion-must. Boots are the perfect pair of shoes for any element and they can be paired with nearly any outfit. Just make sure they fit your amazing personality and there's no way you can go wrong!
Out:
The upcoming months are no time for espadrilles, so leave those wonderful spring shoes at home next to your floppy hats until the season has passed. Make sure you also stay away from shoes with holes (Crocs lovers, this one's for you) because they're definitely not a good mix with melting snow.
Molly Nicholson. GO RAVENS! I would want nothing more than to be sitting on a beach watching the Baltimore Ravens win the Super Bowl. More »
