Show to feature Blazers' music and dance performances
The SGA will be hosting a talent show in the SAC this Friday, Nov. 17, from 7 to 9 p.m. The show will feature a variety of Blazer-organized performances, spanning from dance to music.
SGA Director of School Spirit, Saron Yitbarek, who organized this event, believes that the show will be not only give Blazers an opportunity to flaunt their talents, but will also help unify the school.. She said, "I think that the talent show will bring Blair together and give students a chance to shine."
According to Yitbarek, the contest will be judged by three teachers who will give the performers feedback on their acts. The host will choose winners based on the audience's enthusiasm for each act The SGA will award gift cards to the winners.
The performances include several singers, musicians and ethnic dancers. According to Yitbarek, expected participants include the Carribean Club, Indian dancers, Irish Dancers and at least one rapper.
Admission for the talent show costs $3 at the door.
The SGA organized the talent show as one of several newly introduced events to encourage school spirit and unity.
