This year to feature "double days"

The SGA has chosen the Spirit Day themes for the week leading up to homecoming.

Spirit Week will run the week of Oct. 9 with Pajama/Formal Day on Monday, Wacky Tacky/Retro Day on Tuesday, Adventure Day on Wednesday, Crazy Hat Day on Thursday and conclude with Class Colors Day. This year's Spirit Days were suggested at a House of Representatives session and voted on during the Sept. 20 Senate meeting.

SGA President Eric Hysen aims to make this year's Spirit Days more open to everybody by introducing "double days," like Pajama/Formal day, where people can choose to dress for either, or both, categories. Daily spirit winners in each category will receive free Homecoming tickets.

According to Hysen, the SGA is also planning to host local Blair bands to play in the SAC during both lunches on each of the Spirit Days, as well as a Fashion Club showcase on Friday, Oct. 6.
