Blair students, faculty asked to assist family

The SGA is asking the Blair community to help cover the cost of burying Rokiatu Ba in Africa.

Relatives of the victim hope to transport the body to Mali, where Ba's parents reside. The SGA hopes to raise part of the $7000 needed for transportation of the body. "The family is suffering already, a terrible loss, we would like to try to make it a little less difficult," said SGA sponsor Rondai Ravilious.

The SGA is asking that all Blair clubs and teams contribute $25 to the effort. According to Ravilious some groups have already given more than that. The SGA also asks anyone who is interested in contributing to the fund to see attendance secretary Roxanne Fus.
