SGA announces election results
Sophomore Sibyl Brown named 2008-2009 President
After Blazers' votes from last Thursday and Friday were counted, the new SGA officers for the 2008-2009 school year have been announced. The results are as follows, according to Montgomery County Regional SGA (MCR) Liaison and Co-Deputy of In-School Elections Walker Hatchett:

Executive Level
President: Sibyl Brown, sophomore
Vice President: Jessica Arce, junior
Secretary: to be appointed
Treasurer: to be appointed
Class of 2009
President: Jennifer Romero
Vice President: Darcye Sorinmade
Class of 2010
President: Redab Alnifaidy
Vice President: Danielle Sok
Class of 2011
President: Tej Ganti
Vice President: Hannah Ho
Hatchett was content with the election process. "Given the setbacks experienced with the speeches, it ran pretty smoothly," he said. Citing a school-wide total of 4,447 votes for all candidate categories, Hatchett also noted success in school participation. "We also had good voter turnout this time around."
President Sibyl Brown will determine the cabinet positions of SGA Secretary and Treasurer within the month.
