Montgomery College summer program prepares college-bound students for the Fall

Montgomery College, Takoma Park campus, is inviting all graduating seniors to apply for a summer program in which participants can earn college credit. The program dates are from June 14 to June 25 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. each day. The application deadline is May 28.

According to the program brochure, by enrolling in the program, "students will identify successful attitudes and behaviors through self-assessment, experience a variety of course offerings and teaching approaches, learn to use college research and library resources effectively and identify the skills needed for college."

Students can earn one college credit at the completion of the program, and tuition and fees are waived for course participants. Classes will be held on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays for a total of six sessions.

Enrollment is limited; students are encouraged to apply early because they will be considered on a first-come, first-served basis. A Montgomery College application and summer program application are required. The latter can be obtained at the Career Center.

For more information, contact Jay Marciano, Evelyn Gonzalez, Terri Bailey or Judy Cochran at 301-650-1480.
