Blair's Renaissance program is holding an academic pep rally to honor the 1,200 students with a GPA of at least a 3.0.

The program will be held on Friday, December 14, during seventh period from 1:30 to 2:10. The pep rally will be held in the SAC because of the large amount of students receiving recognition. Students with a 3.5 GPA and above will receive a new Blair ID with a special hole punch that allows them a ten percent discount at Jerry's and at Strosnyders.

The program will consist of speeches by Renaissance head and Blair social studies teacher, Patricia Anderson and a speech by Mr. Gainous. Blair's poms, cheerleaders, and jazz band will be performing at the pep rally as well.

Renaissance is a nationwide program devoted to rewarding students for good grades and consistent attendance. For more information contact Anderson in the social studies office or at Patricia_Anderson@fc.mcps.k12.md.us.
