NFL week eleven predictions

This week should hold some exciting games

Now that it's week eleven, the four SCO expert predictors look to put a rough week ten behind them. In week ten, Abel had the best record at 9-5 while Jacob went 7-7 and Sam and Rohan both went 6-8. Thus Abel, who made some impressive picks last week, gained some ground on the competition and still remains in the race. Sam also lost his lead due to his subpar week ten predictions, but looks to get it back in week eleven. The standings go as follows:

Standings:

1. Jacob 93-54

2. Sam 92-55

3. Abel 86-61

4. Rohan 81-66

Colts at Titans

Jacob: Colts

Sam: Titans

Abel: Colts

Rohan:Colts

Jacob says: They did just get whomped by the Rams at home, but the Colts still have the ninth ranked scoring defense, which will make it tough for Titans' backup QB Ryan Fitzpatrick to keep up with Andrew Luck.

Sam says: The horrible loss to the Rams on Sunday is over, but their rushing defense still ranks 25th in the NFL with big-play Chris Johnson coming to town. I like the Titans defense to force turnovers. The Colts will continue to struggle in the passing game without Reggie Wayne.

Abel says: Indianapolis can't wait to play on Thursday to get the bad taste of Sunday's 30 point shellacking out of their mouth as soon as possible. No Jake Locker, no problem for the Colts.

Rohan says: The Colts are coming off a very difficult loss against the Rams. The Colts will rebound from this defeat, and I expect the Colts to win this one.

Jets at Bills

Jacob: Jets

Sam: Jets

Abel: Jets

Rohan:Jets

Jacob says: The Jets have yet to win or lose consecutive games but that should end this week. The Jets lead the league in stopping the run and will force EJ Manuel and the Bills into being one-dimensional offensively.

Sam says: The Jets look to earn their first string of consecutive wins all season against the Bills, who are ranked 22nd in the league against the run. Buffalo has not scored more than 24 points in any game this season. I expect the Jets to get a win.

Abel says: It's an odd numbered week. The Jets will win.

Rohan says: Although the Jets are very inconsistent, they will find a way to beat the Bills.

Ravens at Bears

Jacob: Bears

Sam: Bears

Abel: Bears

Rohan:Bears Jacob says: These two teams are evenly matched especially with backup QB Josh McCown getting the start (my brother is obsessed with him for some reason). I give the slight edge to the home team.

Sam says: With my main man Josh McCown back at quarterback, the Bears play the inconsistent Ravens at home. Led by Ray Rice's disappointing season, the Ravens are ranked dead last in the NFL with a horrible 2.8 yards per carry. Expect Josh McCown to have another impressive game through the air as the awful Ravens rushing game will not be able to keep him off the field.

Abel says: Josh McCown has played well in the absence of Jay Cutler, and he looks like he can be more than a game manager for the Bears this season. I can't stand the Ravens and their ineptitude, regardless of last week's sloppy win. Plus, Baltimore is 1-4 on the road.

Rohan says: Baltimore's offense is very poor, and their defense is very inconsistent. The Bears will win this one.

Browns at Bengals

Jacob: Bengals

Sam:Bengals

Abel: Browns

Rohan:Bengals

Jacob says: The Bengals offense has so many weapons especially with the emergence of Giovanni Bernard, who has three touchdowns in his last two games. Look for them to put up big points in front of the home crowd.

Sam says: Since All-Pro DT Geno Atkins suffered a season ending injury, the Bengals have struggled against the run. Good thing they face Willis McGahee, whose best days are obviously behind him. With Joe Haden covering A.J. Green, expect another Bengals receiver to steal the show.

Abel says: I think I'm on the Browns bandwagon. That defense, especially with Joe Haden in that secondary, is more than formidable, and Jason Campbell has been a pleasant surprise for the offense. The Bengals are inconsistent and unreliable, and their quarterback Andy Dalton is the epitome of this.

Rohan says: The Bengals really surprised me last week, and it seems their good run of form has come to a halt.

Lions at Steelers

Jacob:Lions

Sam: Lions

Abel: Lions

Rohan:Lions

Jacob says: The Steelers clearly have some internal issues to solve before they can fully focus on winning.

Sam says: The poor rushing defense of the Steelers should allow Reggie Bush to rack up many yards in a Lions win.

Abel says: The Steelers aren't good enough to keep up with or limit the offensive firepower in Detroit.

Rohan says: The Lions demonstrated how strong their team is last week. Look for Detroit to follow up that performance with a win against the Steelers.

Raiders at Texans

Jacob: Texans

Sam: Texans

Abel: Texans

Rohan:Texans

Jacob says: You can't be very confident when picking the Texans, but Case Keenum has shown he can perform at the NFL level.

Sam says: Case Keenum is playing well and should continue to do so. However, the Texans will be in trouble if they cannot contain RB Rashad Jennings.

Abel says: The Raiders have officially returned to the slums of the NFL. And now, Terrelle Pryor's been ruled out and rookie Matt McGloin will make his first career start. Case Keenum will finally get his first win as a starting NFL quarterback.

Rohan says: Terrelle Pryor has not been able to step up in recent weeks and with Case Keenum playing well for the Texans, Houston should be able to beat the Raiders in this one.

Cardinals at Jaguars

Jacob: Cardinals

Sam: Cardinals

Abel: Cardinals

Rohan: Cardinals

Jacob says: The Jaguars finally got off the snide last week but that should be the high point of their season.

Sam says: The Jaguars win against the Titans represented more flaws in Tennessee than skill from the Jaguars. I still expect nothing much from Jacksonville against the Cardinals.

Abel says: Congratulations on your first win, Jacksonville. I guess we can stop making Jaguars jokes now?

Rohan says: Although the Jaguars achieved one of the highs of their season last week, they will lose to the Cardinals and then continue to lose.

Redskins at Eagles

Jacob: Eagles

Sam: Eagles

Abel: Eagles

Rohan:Redskins

Jacob says: Nick Foles has been on fire these last two weeks, throwing a total of 10 touchdown passes. Although he probably won't keep that pace, the Eagles should still be in the driver's seat against Washington's 26th ranked passing defense.

Sam says: Although they had a good offensive showing against Minnesota, the Redskins' defense made Christian Ponder look like Peyton Manning, and it cost them the game. He completed more than 80% of his passes. That will not work when Washington plays Nick Foles, who has actually had Peyton Manning like-numbers this season with 16 touchdowns and no interceptions in just 3 starts.

Abel says: I don't trust the Redskins to stay in this game, and I don't trust them to finish it out if they have a lead. Despite its ability to move the ball at times, this team is just bad. even though they're winless at home so far, the Eagles will make more big plays than the Redskins.

Rohan says: Taters! This is a close one, but I believe the Redskins will come out on top because they have the ability to put points up on the board.

Falcons at Buccaneers

Jacob: Falcons

Sam: Falcons

Abel: Buccaneers

Rohan: Falcons

Jacob says: The Falcons have been disappointing, but the Bucs' only win was against the Dolphins who have big off the field issues.

Sam says: The Buccaneers looked great in their Monday night win. However, the injury to their running back Mike James causes instability in their run game. This will allow the miserable Falcons to beat them.

Abel says: Christmas is coming early in Tampa. The Bucs have refused to quit despite a lost season and Mike Glennon has played admirably for a rookie. But the best unit on this team is the defense, which should wreak havoc on the Falcons' bad offensive line. Tampa has top players at their respective positions on every level of the defense (DT Gerald McCoy, LB Lavonte David, and CB Darrelle Revis), and the Falcons' offense is inept.

Rohan says: The Falcons have proven to be a poor team, but to their fortune they encounter an opponent who is even worse than they are, the Buccaneers. The Falcons should win this one.

Chargers at Dolphins

Jacob: Chargers

Sam: Chargers

Abel: Chargers

Rohan:Chargers

Jacob says: The Dolphins primary focus is the Incognito-Martin controversy, not winning.

Sam says: The Dolphins are a mess, and I will be shocked if they keep Head Coach Joe Philbin into next season.

Abel says: I really don't like the Miami Dolphins, both on and off the field.

Rohan says: Although I did not believe it would occur, the various incidents in the Miami camp greatly influenced their game against the Buccaneers. They won't recover from this scandal and will fall to the Chargers.

Packers at Giants

Jacob: Giants

Sam: Packers

Abel: Giants

Rohan:Giants

Jacob says: Although they started slow, the Giants are on a three game winning streak and should keep that rolling against the Aaron Rodgers-less Packers.

Sam says: After having a whole week to game plan with QB Scott Tolzien, the Packers can make this victory happen against the turnover prone Giants.

Abel says: The emergence of Andre Brown at running back will take a ton of pressure off Eli Manning. It'll limit his turnovers and help him make plays with New York's talented, though inconsistent, group of receivers

Rohan says: The Giants have momentum coming into this game, and they will defeat the Packers who have not been able to find themselves without Aaron Rodgers.

Vikings at Seahawks

Jacob: Seahawks

Sam: Seahawks

Abel: Seahawks

Rohan: Seahawks

Jacob says: The Vikings barely beat the second to last ranked scoring defense, so there's no way they're gonna beat the third ranked scoring defense.

Sam says: The Seahawks defense can limit the production from the Vikings passing game. The Seahawks have not lost a home game since 2011. Good luck Vikings.

Abel says: Russell Wilson hasn't lost a game at home since 2010, when he was the quarterback at NC State.

Rohan says: The Seahawks have proven time and time again that they have the ability to win games and they will prove this over the weekend.

49ers at Saints

Jacob: Saints

Sam: Saints

Abel: Saints

Rohan:Saints

Jacob says: The Saints are coming off a big win against Dallas and should stay rolling at home, where Drew Brees is unbeatable.

Sam says: I could not be more confident about my Super Bowl pick.

Abel says: The Saints are almost impossible to slow down at home. Colin Kaepernick is running out of competent receivers to throw to.

Rohan says: Drew Brees is unstoppable and he leads the Saints to victory almost every week. The 49ers have been inconsistent at times this season and will lose this game as well.

Chiefs at Broncos

Jacob: Broncos

Sam: Broncos

Abel: Broncos

Rohan:Chiefs Jacob says: The Chiefs D is for real, but this is an offensive league. Look for Peyton Manning to pull it out in a close one.

Sam says: Even with Peyton Manning not playing as well as he was and his injury bugging him, he is on pace to topple the NFL single season records for passing yards, touchdowns, and offensive points.

Abel says: Despite Peyton Manning's ankle issues and the Chiefs' stellar defense, I think the Broncos come out with a win in Mile High. Manning gets the ball out of his hands and to his playmakers so quick, that I don't think the Chiefs pass rushers will be able to get to him. No disrespect to Alex Smith, but he and that Kansas City offense are vastly overmatched against the Broncos.

Rohan says: With the number 1 pass rush defense and Peyton Manning suffering from an ankle injury, the Chiefs will capitalize on this. Andy Reid is 13-1 off of bye weeks, and he will continue this trend.

Patriots at Panthers

Jacob: Panthers

Sam: Panthers

Abel: Panthers

Rohan:Patriots Jacob says: This Panthers' D has stopped everyone its seen including dual threat QB Colin Kaepernick. Look for it to continue this week against one of the best of all time.

Sam says: Tom Brady has proved time and time again that he falters when pressured. The Panthers are one of the best in football at pressuring the quarterback.

Abel says: I'm expecting the Panthers to run through New England's 30th ranked run defense. Carolina's backfield should have a field day, and I think Cam Newton will make the necessary plays against the Patriots' banged up defense. Tom Brady can't handle a good pass rush and will struggle to score points against a Panthers defense that has only given up nine touchdowns in nine games.

Rohan says: The Patriots have found their offense, and they will win this one.
