The eighth week of the NFL season is sure to be an exciting one. The highlight matchup is on Sunday night between the Packers and the Broncos. Within our experts, Bobby maintains a slim lead over the rest of the pack, while Charlie continues to fall further and further in last place.
Standings:
1. Bobby: 60-32
2. Sandeep: 58-34
3. Lauren: 57-35
4. Charlie: 53-39
Dolphins at Patriots
Bobby: Patriots
Sandeep: Patriots
Lauren: Patriots
Charlie: Dolphins
Bobby says: Lamar Miller and the Dolphins offense are on fire, but it still won't do much against New England. This game could be a close one, but New England shouldn't have any trouble winning.
Sandeep says:
Lauren says: The Pats have been unstoppable and just aren't going to lose to the Dolphins despite them playing supremely well last night.
Charlie says: The Patriots have to lose eventually. Please.
Lions at Chiefs
Bobby: Chiefs
Sandeep: Chiefs
Lauren: Chiefs
Charlie: Chiefs
Bobby says: Two disappointing teams squaring off. I'll take Kansas City after the upset victory over Pittsburgh last week.
Sandeep says: The Chiefs looked really good last week against the Steelers and the Lions, well, haven't been winning to say the least.
Lauren says:
Charlie says: Neither team has much of a passing game right now, so this game will be won on the ground. Charcandrick West dominates.
Buccaneers at Falcons
Bobby: Falcons
Sandeep: Falcons
Lauren: Falcons
Charlie: Falcons
Bobby says: The Falcons have been in a rut offensively, but Tampa Bay's secondary should give them plenty of opportunity to get back on track. After blowing a huge lead in Washington, this defense can't hold down Julio Jones and Matt Ryan.
Sandeep says: Julio Jones has had a monster season and he and Matt Ryan should carve up the Tampa secondary.
Lauren says: The Falcons have fallen flat but can look to rejuvenate themselves in this game
Charlie says: Devonta Freeman can win this game on his own, and when you throw in Julio Jones, the Falcons are a lock.
Cardinals at Browns
Bobby: Cardinals
Sandeep: Cardinals
Lauren: Cardinals
Charlie: Cardinals
Bobby says: The Browns are just not good.
Sandeep says: Do I even need to say anything here? The Cardinals are clearly the better team.
Lauren says: Cardinals with the easy win.
Charlie says: I really want to pick the Browns, because they actually have some good offensive threats this year, but I also want to improve my record. Gotta go Cardinals.
49ers at Rams
Bobby: Rams
Sandeep: Rams
Lauren: Rams
Charlie: Rams
Bobby says: The Rams defense is unstoppable right now, and the 49ers don't have an offense to overpower it.
Sandeep says: The 49ers have been having problems both on the field and in the locker room and Kaep has lost all confidence.
Lauren says: The 49ers are still a mess and they aren't going to be able to win games until they clean it up on and off the field.
Charlie says: Todd Gurley has this game in the bag.
Giants at Saints
Bobby: Saints
Sandeep: Saints
Lauren: Saints
Charlie: Saints
Bobby says: New Orleans has been trending up as of late, Drew Brees has not shown any signs of injury since he sat out.
Sandeep says: The Saints seem to have corrected their offensive failures with Ingram and Brees playing well.
Lauren says: New Orleans has been playing well as of late and they'll continue against the Giants.
Charlie says: The Saints are a different team at home, and Mark Ingram is finally showing up. On the flip side, Eli Manning has looked terrible the last few games.
Vikings at Bears
Bobby: Vikings
Sandeep: Bears
Lauren: Vikings
Charlie: Bears
Bobby says: If this Vikings team wants to make the playoffs, they can't lose games like this.
Sandeep says: I'm really excited for the return of Alshon Jeffery. I don't think the Vikings can contain him.
Lauren says: The Vikings have been playing pretty well and Adrian Peterson has had some great games, he's going to need another one to win this game.
Charlie says: If this game was in Minnesota, I'd pick the Vikings, but with Alshon Jeffery and Jay Cutler back, the Bears can pull this one out.
Chargers at Ravens
Bobby: Ravens
Sandeep: Chargers
Lauren: Chargers
Charlie: Ravens
Bobby says: Justin Forsett continues to run through defenses. After a loss to Oakland last week, the Chargers are looking worse and worse every week.
Sandeep says: Philip Rivers has been throwing for hundreds of yards but all of that doesn't mean anything (except to my fantasy team) if the defense doesn't make stops.
Lauren says: This is a toss up, either team has the capability to win it's just going to come down to who makes the worse mistake.
Charlie says: The Chargers don't have a running game, unless you count check-downs from Danny Woodhead. The Ravens had better win this one.
Bengals at Steelers
Bobby: Bengals
Sandeep: Bengals
Lauren: Bengals
Charlie: Bengals
Bobby says: The Steelers can't quite figure out how good they are. It's hard to know which Steelers team will show up, but as long as Big Ben is out I'll stick with Cincinnati.
Sandeep says: I say this almost every week but the Bengals are looking really good. The Steelers are really inconsistent. I'm going to go with the safe pick and choose Bengals.
Lauren says: The Bengal defense is too good for the Steelers to overcome.
Charlie says: If Ben Roethlisberger plays, he wins. If Landry Jones is the quarterback again, he won't be able to penetrate this Bengals defense.
Titans at Texans
Bobby: Titans
Sandeep: Titans
Lauren: Titans
Charlie: Texans
Bobby says: The mediocrity of the AFC South is unreal.
Sandeep says: This is a contest between two kind of okay teams that won't make it to the playoffs so I don't really care who wins.
Lauren says: Marriott can come up big in this game & get the win.
Charlie says: The Texans are due for a bounce back, and even without Arian Foster this team is very capable of beating the even weaker Titans.
Jets at Raiders
Bobby: Jets
Sandeep: Jets
Lauren: Jets
Charlie: Jets
Bobby says: Chris Ivory and Brandon Marshall are a good enough combo to take care of Oakland. The Jets defense should keep the Raiders at bay, but the Raiders are no longer a team to sleep on.
Sandeep says: Who would have thought that the Jets and Raiders would actually be competitive teams??
Lauren says:
Charlie says: The Jets offense is finally all healthy, and the Amish Rifle looks like a legitimate quarterback for the first time in his career.
Seahawks at Cowboys
Bobby: Seahawks
Sandeep: Seahawks
Lauren: Seahawks
Charlie: Seahawks
Bobby says: Can't take the ‘Boys until they get healthy again.
Sandeep says: I feel bad for the Cowboys. They're a good team but everyone's injured.
Lauren says:
Charlie says: The Seahawks will find a way to win this one, especially with Matt Cassel delivering his usual load of interceptions.
Packers at Broncos
Bobby: Broncos
Sandeep: Packers
Lauren: Packers
Charlie: Packers
Bobby says: Both teams may be undefeated, but the Packers are the heavy favorite. Denver has had their ups and downs, but Peyton Manning shows up when he needs to. Broncos roll.
Sandeep says: Both teams are undefeated, but the Broncos have been relatively quiet. I think the Packers are the better team here.
Lauren says: Aaron Rodgers comes through in a tight game to stay undefeated.
Charlie says: The Packers can beat their offensive woes with a bye week to regroup, but the Broncos can't fix the fact that Peyton Manning is too old. If anyone can take down the Denver defense, it's Aaron Rodgers.
Colts at Panthers
Bobby: Panthers
Sandeep: Colts
Lauren: Panthers
Charlie: Panthers
Bobby says: The Colts are one of the more disappointing teams this season, and don't stand much of a chance this week against Carolina.
Sandeep says: This is the game we show up.
Lauren says: The Panthers aren't going to lose to this inconsistent Colts team.
Charlie says: At home, the Panthers should win this game with ease. It all depends on which Andrew Luck shows up.
