James Hubert Blake High School on Norwood Road in Silver Spring will close two hours early today (12:10 p.m.) due to a lack of heat and electrical malfunctions that are prompting, among other things, continuous but unnecessary fire alarm warnings.
All afternoon and evening student and community activities at the school have been canceled for today. School is expected to reopen on time tomorrow, Tuesday, December 17.
