Team chair "very impressed" with school and administration

The Accreditation for Growth (AFG) validation team recommended Blair for Middle States Association (MSA) accreditation at 2:45 p.m. today after three days of extensive interviews and classroom observation.

Validation team chair Rick Simon said he was "very impressed" with Blair and the administration's efforts to improve the school. "I think the whole team has been blown away," he said. "There's plenty of room for improvement, but there's a desire to do that."

Blair's accreditation status is included on the school profile sent with students' transcripts to colleges.

The school's accreditation status must be confirmed through a MSA committee and ultimately by the Commission on Secondary Schools, which will review the validation team's report in April. Blair will receive official notification in April or May, according to Simon.
