MCPS paper shortage hits Blair

All of Montgomery County schools are lacking paper due to a late quarterly shipment from manufacturer International Paper. The manufacturers, according to Business Manager Anne Alban, anticipate having the paper ready to ship on January 3.

Maintenance manager James Brown will go to a warehouse to pick up what Alban calls the "emergency stash" so teachers will have more paper by next week. Alban says most offices have their own "stashes" of paper, which resource teachers are advising teachers to conserve until the shipment arrives. The social studies office has resorted to photocopying onto oversized legal paper. The lack of paper is an annoyance to many teachers, several of whom have brought paper from home in order to ensure paper for their classes.
