Maryland All-State Band and Orchestra, and Choir members chosen

Six members of the Blair Band and Orchestra were selected to participate in the Maryland All-State Band and Orchestra. Four other students were chosen to sing in the All-State choir.

Band instructor Mr. Lucas congratulated flute player Janice No (freshman), horn players Kristin Hoven (senior) and Adedeji Ogunfolu (sophomore), trumpet player Kurt Schewe (senior), and violinists James Gao (junior) and Elizabeth Kim (senior) for receiving the honor of playing in the All-State Band and Orchestra. The All-State Band and Orchestra will hold its first concert at the Baltimore Convention Center on Febuary 23.

Additionally, Hoven, Schewe, and Kim were chosen for the All Eastern United States Band and Orchestra. They will be performing in a concert in Providence, Rhode Island on March 9.

Four Blair seniors were selected to sing in the Maryland All-State Choir. Soprano Naomi Graber, tenor Griff Rees, and bass Kevin Lumpkin made the All-State Choir. Jacinda Moore was selected to sing for the newly formed Women's Chorus.
