In Maryland and Montgomery County, there are several testing sites for COVID-19 disease. Compiled below is a list of testing sites within a few miles of Blair and the requirements for being tested.
All across Maryland, the Motor Vehicle Association (MVA) has set up testing sites at its Vehicle Emission Inspections locations. The following locations are the program (VEIP) sites. Tests are appointment-only and reserved for patients with a doctor’s order.
The following testing sites in Maryland (including some VEIP sites) will have drive-thru appointment-free testing. Tests will be administered with no out-of-pocket cost.
Pharmacies are allowed to conduct testing onsite provided they follow CDC guidelines.
The Wheaton Community Recreation Center and the Upcounty Regional Services Center in Germantown are also open for testing. Similarly, a health official has to place an order for the person into Maryland's Chesapeake Regional Information System (CRISP). By appointment only.
Suburban Hospital has testing in its parking lot for patients who have been referred by a Johns Hopkins doctor.
Holy Cross Hospital has triage tents in their parking lots at their Silver Spring and Germantown locations for patients with covid-19 and influenza-like symptoms. The triage tent is not open to patients unless they contact the hospital about experiencing symptoms.
Kaiser Permenante has testing sites at their Gathersburg, Largo and South Baltimore locations from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. You need a doctor’s order and an appointment before being tested.
The stadium parking lot of the Washington Football team is also being used as a testing site, set up by the Maryland National Guard. A physician must preregister a person for them to be tested.
Medstar Health opened a testing site in the parking lot next to the Pauline Betz Addie Tennis Center at 7801 Democracy Blvd. in Bethesda from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. To be tested, patients must be referred by a doctor or screened by MedStar’s online platform.
PM Pediatrics has the two following sites available in Maryland daily. Patients need to be screened through their telemedicine app or at PM Pediatric offices before being tested.
