SAT administration moved to Eastern Middle, play moved to Thursday

A leak in the ceiling of the SAC forced homecoming to move to the gym, the SATs to Eastern, and the play to Thursday.

According to SGA Vice President Brandon Hayes, if Homecoming had been held in the SAC there would not have been enough room. "Having Homecoming in the gym was much better because there is much more space," Hayes said. He also said that more people showed up at Homecoming than tickets sold which made Homecoming even more crowded.

Senior class officer Afua Tay was "happy" about Homecoming being held in the gym but the tarp on the floor proved a problem because "[the tarp] is hard to pick up." The decorations for Homecoming had to be changed around on short notice and the gym is much harder to decorate than the SAC. "There is only so much you can do on the bleachers," said Tay.

A performance of the fall play originally scheduled for this upcoming Saturday is now scheduled for Thursday because Blair is closed for the weekend. "The building has to be shut down for two days so they can drain out all the water," said building services manger Mr. Brown.

The SAT tests were scheduled to be administered at Blair but have been moved to Eastern Middle School.
