Georgetown GLOW lights up the streets of Georgetown

Inspired by Georgetown's historical architecture and its many iconic sights, the Georgetown GLOW features lights displays by artists from all around the world, from Baltimore to Shanghai to Dubai.

According to ABC News, curator Deirdre Ehlen Macwilliams explains how she finds the light show to be a unique and beautiful experience, “Georgetown is a magical place, especially during the holidays, and it’s not like any other place in D.C.," MacWilliams said. "Hopefully people will see that the illuminated artworks play up on that.”

As visitors walk through the light show, they can also appreciate live music, Georgetown’s wide variety of food options and numerous shopping spots. Visitors are encouraged to bring family and friends for the perfect holiday event. Here are some breathtaking, interactive light displays you'll want to check out:

Another one of the most standout exhibits is called “Run Beyond,” which is made up of 15 silhouettes of a person running, each silhouette outlined in lights. It's located on top of one of Georgetown's larger buildings, overlooking the commercial street of the town.
