Black College Expo and National Christian College Fair visit D.C. area
Four college fairs will be held in the Washington, D.C. area in the beginning of October. All fairs will feature college and university representatives and give students an opportunity to learn about the institutions and ask questions about the admissions process.
The Black College Expo is coming to the Prince Georges Sports and Learning Center in Landover on Oct. 7. More than 50 historically black colleges and universities will be attending this event, which promotes the enrollment of African Americans into college. Admission is $5.
On Oct. 9, Albert Einstein High School in Kensington will host a college fair from 6-8 p.m. About 100 colleges and universities are scheduled to attend. The Sallie Mae Foundation, will give a presentation on "Paying for College" after the fair at 8 p.m.
On Oct. 11, the Montgomery County College Expo will be held at the Discovery Sports Center in Germantown. The college fair will be occur in two segments, from 9:45-12:45 p.m. during the day and from 6-8 p.m. that night. Students can obtain a permission slip from the career center to attend the session during the school day.
The National Christian College Fair, which more than over 30 Christian universities will be attending, will also be held on Oct. 19 at the McLean Bible Church in Vienna, VA from 7-9 p.m.
