Fourth evacuation runs as planned

Blair held a planned fire drill during sixth period today at 12:44 p.m., completing four out of the 10 required fire drills per year, according to Business Manager James Funk.

Students evacuated the building in approximately 12 minutes, which Funk deems average. "It usually takes around 9-15 minutes for all the students to evacuate," he said. "But this number takes into account the very last person that exits. The majority of them leave much faster."

The fire drill occurred as scheduled, said Funk. There were no prior delays or cancellations. Several students were positioned along the hill to prevent people from going up. "Today's fire drill was pretty typical," he said. "It went smoothly as planned."
