Fifth drill of the year goes smoothly
The Blair administration held the first fire drill of 2008 today during seventh period at 1:45 p.m. The school has now finished half of the ten fire drills mandated by MCPS for one school year.
Security team leader Edward Reddick noted that the staff and students evacuated the building efficiently. "It went well, people went in and out and we had the school cleared in 7 minutes," he said.
The fire drill took place without interruption, cancellations or delays, according to Reddick. Members of building services were strategically placed to prevent students from going down the hill and through the crowded stadium entrance.
