The abbreviated schedule today was cut somewhat shorter by a fire drill after the second exam block.

The fire alarm sounded at 12:03, eight minutes after the end of second period exams. Although school technically does not end until 12:25 (to accommodate a lunch period), many students simply left.

According to vice principal Richard Wilson, the alarm was not anticipated. "This was not a planned fire drill to the best of my knowledge," Wilson said.
