Two people were killed Tuesday in a collision that occurred shortly before 3 p.m. along Interstate 95 near Baltimore-Washington International Airport. No survivors have been reported at this time.

The accident involved a tanker truck carrying large amounts of an unidentified flammable substance that dropped from the I-895 overpass onto moving 1-95 traffic below, according to ABC7 news. Two automobiles and two tractor trailers were involved in the crash.

An extensive brush fire burned along the site, and smoke could be seen for miles, fire officials said. The fire burned for about an hour before it was contained and was so intense that firefighters from Howard County, Baltimore County and Baltimore-Washington International Airport were issued to work on the scene. Maryland State Police were also working at the site.
