PTSA encourages community members to submit proposals
The PTSA Minigrant Committee has announced that the deadline for all 2005 minigrant proposals is Nov. 4. The minigrants are meant to support projects initiated by Blair staff, students, parents and community members.
This year, the PTSA has budgeted $7,000 for the program, which is divided into two categories: Large-scale $500 and small-scale $200 grants. All large-scale grants are awarded to organizations and projects that will benefit the whole school, an entire grade or at least 500 students. Small-scale grants are intended to support projects that will benefit fewer than 500 students. Applicants are encouraged to have a faculty advisor for their project.
The Minigrant Committee will review each application and present its recommendations at the Nov. 15 PTSA meeting. If less than $7,000 is awarded in minigrants, the PTSA will conduct a second round of applications for large and small-scale grants.
