College fairs to be held in D.C. and Baltimore

Fairs to bring over 300 colleges


The National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) is hosting college fairs on Monday, Nov. 15 and Tuesday, Nov. 16 in Baltimore and on Tuesday, Nov. 30 in Washington, D.C.

The National College Fairs are free and are intended to aid students with their "educational aspirations," according to the NACAC web site. Over 300 public and private colleges, including the University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins University, will sponsor exhibits. Admissions representatives will be available to provide information on course offerings, college life, admissions and financial aid packages.

The NACAC suggests students select criteria for their desired future college such as program of study, college environment and school size. At the fair, students are recommended to keep a checklist of colleges they want to visit and to map out a strategy of where they would like to go.
